This program prepares the student to earn an industry certification from National Healthcareer Association.

The Emergency Medical Technician program leads to New York State Certification as an EMT-Basic. Students are trained to provide care in life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions, and to prevent further harm before a patient is moved or transported. Students complete a rigorous course including didactic and practical instruction as required by New York State. Students who successfully complete the course and pass the final written and practical exam will be eligible to take the New York State Certification Exam on the last day of the program. The program also includes assistance in resume writing, interview preparation, and job placement.

The average salary for EMT professionals is $46,900.

This program prepares student to earn an industry certification as a New York Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B)

Prerequisites: A valid NYS Driver’s License is required.

The Medical Billing and Coding program prepares students to work as entry-level medical billing specialists. Students receive training in standard medical procedure coding, insurance, reimbursements, healthcare standards, as well as information storage and retrieval systems. Individuals who successfully complete the program may seek entry-level employment in physician’s offices, clinics, laboratories, hospitals, group practices, specialty practices, health insurance offices, and nursing homes. The program helps prepare students to sit for a certification examination.

The average salary for Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist is $64,000.

This program prepares the students to pass the Billing and Coding certification exam (CBCS) with interactive learning resources designed to help them master key concepts, analyze areas that need attention, and feel confident about taking their exam.

Phlebotomy technicians play a crucial role in keeping a healthcare facility running smoothly. They draw blood for tests, transfusions, donations, and research. This program prepares the student to earn certification from National Healthcareer Association as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
