Celebration of Irish Culture: Film Night – In the Name of the Father (1993)

In honor of Irish Heritage month, the Visual and Performing Arts department will host a film night in celebration of Irish heritage! Based on the real story of the Guildford Four, the film follows a young Irishman who is wrongfully accused of an IRA bombing and, along with his father, endures years of injustice and imprisonment while fighting to clear his name. Emotionally gripping and deeply human, the film is a moving testament to the bond between father and son, blending courtroom drama with personal courage and resilience to create an unforgettable story of truth and redemption. There will be a discussion of the film on Thursday, February 19th at 3:00pm, hosted by Dr. Christina Schaudel and Dr. Christina Stern. Venue: Black Box Studio, RM. 7100.
