DESCRIPTION:Location: Academic I\, Room 1106 \nCoordinated by:\nNancy Rosen\nProgram Director of Communication Studies and Teacher Education \nBackground:\nRCC has hosted the Annual Early Childhood Transitions Conference for several years. Last year was Professor Rosen’s first time participating\, and she serves on the Planning Committee alongside conference chair Tracey Cummings (Assistant Director\, Nyack Teachers Center)\, Debbie Studnitzer (Rockland Teacher Center)\, and partners from a number of districts and organizations\, including Nyack Public Schools\, Child Care Resources of Rockland\, East Ramapo Teachers’ Center\, Lakeshore Publications\, Rockland 21C\, Rockland BOCES\, Y’s Beginnings\, and several early education facilities and school districts. \nOur most recent conference\, held on April 4\, 2025\, was a great success. More than 50 education professionals from childcare programs\, public schools\, and non-public schools across Rockland County attended\, and they greatly enjoyed being on our campus and rotating through our classrooms for workshops and sessions.
