ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. (August 18, 2021) – Rockland Community College is ready for Fall 2021. Beginning August 17th through September 23rd, RCC will be welcoming back new and returning students to attend information sessions, registrations, and orientations.

Walk-in Registration – Saturday, August 21, 10am to 2pm EDT
RCC’s Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Team is here to help you register in-person. Our departments are open, and staff are available to assist students with all aspects of the registration process – no appointment necessary.

Legal Studies Information Session – Monday, August 23, 3pm EDT
Speak with faculty and staff from our programs and get information about internships and job opportunities. Find out how you can earn an Associate of Applied Science in Legal Studies, a post-degree certificate in Paralegal Studies, an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice or an Associate of Science in Corporate and Homeland Security at RCC!

Welcome Week is an opportunity to warmly welcome our new & returning students. During the first week of classes, students are able to enjoy a dynamic presentation of activities as well as an opportunity to meet with representatives from departments that will assist and support students in their journey at RCC. It starts the first day of class & ends with a party on the Quad for RCC’s Fall Fest!!

Fall Fest 2021: RCC Ready-Resilient, Capable, Committed! – Thursday, September 9, 12pm to 2pm EDT
Please join your fellow faculty, staff, and students in the Quad just outside of the Student Union Building. This is an opportunity to welcome everyone back to campus where we will stand side by side for the first time in more than a year.  Together we begin this new stage at RCC and in the world and kick-off the start of the new academic year. Come celebrate, enjoy food, music, and activities. Hope to see you there!

Understanding Your College Cost of Attendance, Refunds, and Holds – Friday, September 10 at 6pm EDT (Zoom)
First week of class for a new student means having to learn a lot of new terminology. Registration, syllabus, core courses, and FAFSA are all terms that students have to quickly become familiar with in order to succeed in college. Just as important is understanding what the true cost of their education. This discussion will introduce students to their direct and indirect colleges costs, how to manage their refunds, and understand what holds may delay their aid.

Club Fest – Wednesday, September 22, 12pm to 2pm EDT and Thursday, September 23, 12pm to 2pm EDT
Club Fest is an excellent opportunity for students to sign up & get involved in the 50+ active clubs/organizations on campus. It can also be used as a recruiting event for those students interested in starting a new club.
