RCC Summer Youth Programs

For over 40 years, the mission of Rockland Community College’s Summer Program has been to provide youth with a safe, fun and engaging environment. Our affordable summer programs, are based in Rockland County, NY on the College’s beautiful main campus in Suffern and new this year, our Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center in Nyack. We want our students to learn awesome skills and meet even better friends.

Registration and Payment

To register, download and complete the registration form. Then choose one of the following payment options:

  1. By Mail: Check Only
    Make checks payable to “Rockland Community College” and mail it along with the completed registration form to: RCC Summer Youth Programs, 145 College Road, Suffern, NY 10901
  2. In-Person: Cash or Check
    Complete the registration form and go to the Student Accounts Office, Technology Center, Room 8101, Open Monday-Friday, 9 am – 3 pm
  3. Online
    Complete the registration form and email it to [email protected]. Once received, we will contact you with instructions to complete your online payment.

Our Programs


This program is designed for the creative and artistic camper. Explore a variety of mediums through our immersive program taught by friendly and knowledgeable instructors. During the summer, campers will enjoy working in our space where they can explore their inner artist through multiple projects, which are appropriate for all levels. The hard work of the artist is showcased at the end of the third and sixth week with an art show featuring each project worked on during their time at camp.

This camp is for campers of all ages and artistic abilities. Just bring a smock and a creative mind. All future artists are welcome!

Typical Schedule

9:00 – 10:30: Work in the art room
10:30: – 10:45: Break
10:45 – 12:00: Work in the art room


Interested in computers? This program is for you! With access to 4 computer labs in Rockland Community College’s Technology Building, campers have access to all types of technology. 

Campers who love using computers will learn about new programs and work on digital projects, programming, 3D animation, and video game development. Campers will have opportunities to put their skills to the test with hand-on-projects.

There is no prerequisite computer knowledge needed for this program. All campers are welcome!

Children who love to cook will learn kitchen and cooking basics, use of kitchen equipment, proper sanitation and knife skills. Each day features a different menu including pasta, pizza, sandwiches, salads, soup, desserts, and more. Children who attend more than one week of the program will be given more challenging recipes to try.

The Culinary Program will take place at the College’s Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center located at 70 Main Street in Nyack, NY.

Are you curious about the world? Learn about scientific thought and methods while exploring the most interesting principles of biology, chemistry and physics. Using a hands-on approach in a real college laboratory, campers will experiment and create everything from robots to rockets.

Each week is a separate topic, and there is no prerequisite knowledge needed. All young scientists are welcome! 

Each week the Science program will follow a common theme. Experiments and projects will be diversified and adjusted for the age of the campers. Pick your weeks now!
