Rockland Community College is an equal employment opportunity, affirmative action employer with a commitment to recruiting and retaining a diverse faculty and staff. It is the College’s policy not to discriminate in hiring, compensation and other employment practices, conditions and privileges of employment on the basis of age, alienage, color, creed, disability, gender/sex, marital status, national origin, prior non-job related record of conviction, race, religion, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
What We Do
The Rockland Community College Diversity, Equity & Inclusion department is responsible for implementing and monitoring the College’s equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policies. All employees and applicants for employment may contact the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion department to inquire about their rights under these policies, request advice, file a complaint or request a reasonable accommodation.
Sometimes an employee, applicant for employment or former employee doesn’t know where to go for certain kinds of help. Reporting Options for Employees provides guidance on the types of issues that are covered by the Offices of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Human Resources and Public Safety.
The Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion acts as the College’s Chief Diversity Officer, Affirmative Action Officer, Equity & Compliance Officer, and Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Officer for employees.
The Executive Director for Student Engagement and College Life is the Title IX Coordinator. Visit the Title IX page for more information.
