Open Houses & Info Sessions

Spring 2021 Open House

When: April 12 – 17, 2021

RCC’s Virtual Open House week will showcase the five Academic Schools of RCC along with Academic and Student Support Services available at the College, as well as special presentations about funding your education, the Honors Program, and more. Admissions will provide a brief introduction to RCC and the application process at the beginning of each Open House session.

Saturday, April 17 will be devoted to exploring the services provided by the Enrollment Management Student Affairs (EMSA) Division. A brief overview of the Division will be provided at 11am, followed by a chance for participants to visit and ask questions to individual departments via Zoom Rooms.

Monday, April 12

Join our session to find out more about our Early Admit high school program. Admissions, Financial Aid, and our Honors program will be there to talk about the process of applying to the program.

Especially for our Spanish speaking community, join our session to find out more about RCC, the benefits of a community college and how to apply to the College, financial aid, student activities and so much more.

Tuesday, April 13

Join our International Student Information Session to find out more about RCC, the benefits of a community college in the US, and how to apply to the College as an international student who needs an F1 student visa.

Learn about the programs offered in our School of STEM and the School of Business & Professional Studies. Our Honors program will also be in attendance. Individual breakout rooms will be available to allow more one on one time with our academic departments.

  • School Deans’ Welcome and Intro: 10 minutes each
  • Breakout Rooms by Program Directors: 30 minutes

Not sure what program is best for you? Members from our Admissions and Student Success teams will guide you through the best way to choose a major. RCC Students will also be on hand to talk about their own experiences with finding their right path.

Wednesday, April 14

Learn about the programs offered in our School of Nursing, Health and Wellness. Individual breakout rooms will be available to allow more one on one time with our academic departments.

  • Admissions Welcome and Intro: 10 minutes
  • School Dean’s Welcome and Intro: 10 minutes each
  • Breakout Rooms by Program Directors: 30 minutes

Come join us in an interactive conversation with representatives from our Financial Aid and  Student Accounts offices to learn more about the Financial Aid opportunities and processes and what to expect when paying for college.

Thursday, April 15

Learn about the programs offered in our School of Arts & Humanities and School of Education & Social Sciences. Our Honors program will also be in attendance. Individual breakout rooms will be available to allow more one on one time with our academic departments.

  • Admissions Welcome and Intro: 10 minutes
  • School Dean’s Welcome and Intro: 10 minutes each
  • Breakout Rooms by Program Directors: 30 minutes

Learn about what resources and options we have to help you get on track and stay on track as an Adult learner. Breakout rooms with be available, allowing you to speak one on one to learn more about our 24 credit HSE program, the TASC (GED) exam, Connection Center, Financial Aid, Tutoring, Mental Health Counselor, and Childcare.

Saturday, April 17

  • 11:00am – 11:30 am: What is EMSA?
    Get to know all the services offered by Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at RCC.
  • 11:30am – 12:30 pm: Breakout Rooms with EMSA staff
    Have a question about applying, financial aid, or how advising works? You will be able to speak to all EMSA offices in Breakout rooms during the Zoom session. Rooms will include the representatives from the following departments:
    • Admissions, Records, and Placement
    • Special Populations: TRiO (first generation), Veterans, Athletics, International Students, & Accessibility Services
    • Connection Center, Academic Success Center (tutoring), and Student Involvement
    • Student Success (Academic, Career, and Transfer Advising), Job Placement, and Mental Health Counseling
    • Financial Aid and Student Accounts

For those interested in beginning a college degree program this is a mandatory first step.
