Suffern, NY. (July 17, 2023) – Dr. Shamika Mitchell, professor of English at Rockland Community College, and founding member of the San Diego Comic-Con Museum, will participate in three panels at San Diego Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center in California from July 20-23, 2023.
“San Diego Comic-Con is one of the premiere comics / fandom-oriented conventions in the world. It is an honor to be included in their programming schedule, and it is a joy to interact with fellow geeks, nerds, and fans. Sharing my expertise with others is a pleasure. I enjoy representing the State University of New York and Rockland Community College; hopefully, we will add some Comics Studies courses to the curriculum. There is genuine interest!” said Dr. Mitchell.
