How to Explore the Universe

November 15 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST

Location: Ellipse (Technology Center, Room 8180)
Presented by Dr. Emily Rice

Brown dwarfs are literally cooler than the coolest stars, and they can help us understand one of the hottest fields in astrophysics: planets around other stars. I’ll explain the fundamentals of brown dwarfs, how they eluded us for so long, and what the most current scientific studies are telling us. I’ll also share how my space-related creative projects & Astronomy on Tap, have changed the way I think about science.
