Delays and Closures

This afternoon we are conducting a test of the Emergency Alert System. As part of this test on December 19 at 3:45 pm, an email, text message, and phone call were sent to Rockland Community College students, faculty, and staff. If you expected to receive any one of these alerts but did not, please take a moment to sign in and review your alert preferences at the Everbridge Emergency Alert Portal. We strongly recommend selecting all three alert options to make sure you don’t miss critical updates during times of severe weather.

Once logged in, please:

• Confirm that your correct email is listed in the first section titled “email address.”
• To select text message alerts, click “add new” and select “SMS/cell” under the drop-down menu “type.” Be sure your correct mobile number is listed.
• For alerts via a phone call, click “add new” and select “phone” under the drop-down menu “type.” You can use the same number for both text and phone call alerts, but you must add them in for each alert.

** If you make edits to your selections, please be sure to click the “Save” button at the bottom left corner of the page. Allow 24 hours for the system to update.
