Study Abroad

Explore the world with RCC!

Study Abroad and Academic Travel opportunities at RCC provide students with a variety of long-lasting benefits. Students who participate develop their cross-cultural communications skills and can focus on academics and the real-life experiences that make education relevant. These opportunities help students to build their resumes and earn higher starting salaries, all while seeing the world!

RCC Academic Travel courses are generally offered during spring and summer sessions and involve a travel period of up to two weeks. Qualified students may use financial aid to pay for these courses, and those not interested in receiving college credit may still attend in a non-credit format with a low administrative fee.

Generally, the courses will include some on-campus or virtual classes before and/or after travel. Students enrolled for credit will be mandated to meet all of the course requirements. Courses are also open to adult members of the community.

RCC supports traditional semester-length Study Abroad. Credit will be given to students who participate in accredited study abroad programs offered by other institutions with prior approval. Information on additional SUNY study abroad options can be found on the SUNY Study Abroad website.
