As student leaders, the Student Government Association will seek to involve its peers in some form of extracurricular activities with the ultimate goal of enhancing their college experience and instilling more school spirit. We feel that by encouraging student involvement, it will assist the entire College in working toward the common goal of making our school even better than what it is today.

Eleanor’s Community College Emerging Leaders (ECCEL) Program is an intensive leadership and service based program hosted at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill. Business leaders know the value of serving others. RCC’s chapter of Alpha Beta Gamma, the business honor society, has embraced that credo. Club members volunteer for community events like the Good Samaritan Blood Drive, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk, Walk for Domestic Abuse, and a toy drive for underprivileged kids. They expand their knowledge of the corporate world with visits to places like the Museum of American Finance on Wall Street. Guest speakers from the local business community offer first-hand insights and advice.

Beta Beta Beta provides opportunities for students to develop their interests in the wide-ranging field of biology. Members are encouraged to participate in research activities and have presented their findings at such recognized events as the SUNY Innovative Exploration Forum and the Beta Beta Beta NE-1 District Convention. Members also select their own field trips and community events, such as the Body World Exhibition in NYC, Earth Day events, and various hikes in Rockland County. At meetings, club members read and discuss scholarly journals in various biological topics and complete research experiments.
