Rockland Community College to host Nov. 16 Open House

Westchester & Fairfield County Business Journals – Rockland Community College is hosting an in-person Open House on Nov. 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at its main campus in Suffern. The Open House will provide potential students and their families with an opportunity to tour the campus, meet with the college’s academic deans, admissions team and current students.

Sens. Schumer and Gillibrand, Rep. Jones Announce $2.9 Million Title V Grant For Rockland Community College

Hudson Valley News & Events – Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) , U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and U.S. Representative Mondaire Jones (D-NY) announced $2,960,808 in federal funding for Rockland Community College (RCC). The funding was allocated through the Title V program, which provides resources for Hispanic-serving institutions to expand educational opportunities and enhance programs, fasciitis, and equipment for students.

Mount Vernon HS, Rockland Community College unveil program to kickstart students’ automotive careers

News 12 – Mount Vernon High School and Rockland Community College have teamed up with a new partner to get students into automotive jobs. Under the program, Ford Motor Company and dealership Scarsdale Ford take students who are into cars and turn them into auto tech experts.

First Class of the RCC Emergency Medical Technician Training Program Graduates

Hudson Valley News & Events – Rockland Community College Emergency Medical Technician Training Program was created last year in partnership with Rockland Paramedics, the Rockland Workforce Board and Rockland Career Center to help alleviate an ongoing Emergency Medical Technician and paramedic shortage in the region while helping unemployed and underemployed workers on a new career path.
