Dr. Gia Merlo, clinical professor of psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, is renowned for her expertise in well-being and lifestyle medicine, and for developing the field of Lifestyle Psychiatry. As a fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Merlo is at the forefront of expanding evidence-based approaches to prevent, treat, and reverse psychiatric and behavioral disorders.

Her peer-reviewed articles and four books for healthcare professionals are grounded in science, drawn from psychology, psychiatry, and lifestyle medicine. With over thirty years of experience in clinical care and medical education, she continues to inspire and empower individuals to prioritize their wellbeing and adopt healthier lifestyles.
