We are excited to welcome the Rockland County Poet Laureate, Juan Pablo Mobili for three upcoming events at RCC:
- April 22nd @ 12:30pm, room 1214 – Poetry Workshop with the Poetry Club (Club President, Ariel Murtagh; Club Advisor, Dr. Meghan P. Nolan)
- April 28th @ 10am, room 1106 – Guest Lecture and Presentation (Introduction by Dr. Meghan P. Nolan)
- May 6th @ 12:30pm, room 7100 – Poetry Reading at Word of Mouth, a part of the Unity in Community Festival (Hosted by Dr. Meghan P. Nolan; Unity in Community Festival organized annually by Patricia Maloney-Titland)
The Rockland County Poet Laureate Program is a collaboration between the Arts Council of Rockland and County Executive, Ed Day.
Juan Pablo Mobili
2025 Rockland County Poet Laureate
Juan Pablo Mobili was born in Buenos Aires and adopted by New York. His poems appeared in The American Journal of Poetry, The Worcester Review, Thimble Magazine, Otoliths (Australia), Impspired (UK), and Bosphorus Review of Books (Turkey) among others. His work received an Honorable Mention from the International Human Rights Art Festival, and nominations for the Pushcart Prize and the Best of the Net, in 2020 and 2021. His chapbook, Contraband, was published this year.
