SUNY Reconnect

New initiative covers tuition, fees, books, and supplies for New Yorkers aged 25 – 55 seeking high-demand careers.

(SUFFERN, NY) June 16, 2025 – Starting this Fall, Rockland Community College (RCC) will offer free tuition for eligible adults through SUNY Reconnect, a new initiative designed to help more New Yorkers earn a college degree.

SUNY Reconnect is available to New York residents between the ages of 25 and 55 who have not previously completed a college degree and who enroll in full-time or part-time associate degree programs in high demand fields.

Eligible RCC programs include:

To get started, eligible adult learners simply apply to RCC at no cost, complete the Federal Student Aid FAFSA application, and then complete the state aid application.
