Location: Academic I, Room 1106
Presenter: Dr. Andrew Jacobs
Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC) is best known as Rome’s greatest orator, but we will discuss much more. Not only did he leave us his written speeches, but also his work on many subjects including rhetoric and philosophy. Learn about how this self-made man, a lawyer, rose through the political ranks to the highest elected office in Rome – before dying in defense of the Roman Republic.
This event is part of our celebration of Italian Heritage Month.
