About the Blueprint Reading Program

To advance local manufacturing, employers are seeking individuals with essential skills needed to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings used in machining and manufacturing environments. Blueprint Reading students will learn to recognize and analyze line types, orthographic projections, dimensions, tolerances, sectional views, threads, symbols, surface finishes, and the fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Emphasis is placed on real-world applications and practical blueprint interpretation for machinists.
