To cater to the interests of our diverse student body, Student Involvement offers exciting opportunities to meet new friends, gain valuable career expertise and explore different cultures. Through a variety of programs, services and activities, Student Involvement works to create a healthy and involved campus community while providing students an opportunity to broaden their horizons outside of the classroom. What do we offer?

We are here to help students get involved in campus life through leadership, clubs and other activities.

Student Programs offered:

  • Co-curricular Transcript enables students to receive an official document that lists their learning experiences beyond the classroom.
  • Student Handbook is a free, valuable resource that includes important information such as Student Rights and Responsibilities and the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Evening Star offers information about campus resources and upcoming events, outreach and light snacks to evening students. It takes place on the Bridge between Academic I and II from 5:30pm – 7:30 pm on alternating weekdays.
  • Volunteer Service gives students an opportunity to volunteer within the community at a variety of non-profit organizations. Volunteering gives students a sense of community awareness and an understanding of responsible citizenship in our diverse community.
  • Free Legal Information gives students the opportunity to meet with a local attorney to discuss legal issues ranging from immigration to traffic tickets to domestic violence. The attorney is available during the day or evening by appointment through Student Involvement.
  • Religious Life includes the Center for Jewish Life/Hillel, the Center for Christian Life and the Center for Muslim Life serve students of other faiths. Representatives of these faiths offer guidance, leadership and programs for students. Student lounges are available for various groups to meet and mingle.
  • Outlook Student Press, RCC’s award-winning, student-run newspaper, publishes campus news, feature stories, editorials, columns, entertainment and sports news, advertising, and more.
  • Impulse, RCC’s award-winning literary magazine, is published annually by students and faculty members. It contains student art and photography as well as fiction, poetry, essays and other creative writing by students.
